Upton has grown without losing the woods
Upton is compact. The center sits along Route 140, the West River runs through, and Upton State Forest covers the northern end. Newer subdivisions have filled in around the older village core over the last few decades, which gives the town two fairly different kinds of house.
Newer construction here means vinyl siding, pressure treated decks, and a lot of fencing. Decks are the request we get most from towns like this. Boards go gray and grow a slick film on the shaded side, and the fix is a cleaner and a brightener rather than a wand, which would fur the grain and raise the fibers.
Vinyl fence runs pick up green on the north face and come clean quickly with detergent. Wood fence takes the same treatment as a deck.
The older houses near the center are wood and need the gentle approach, low pressure and a plant safe detergent that will not strip paint or force water behind trim.
Upton sits outside our regular route, so we take it by request. Text photos to (860) 553-9326 and you will get a flat price plus an honest answer on when we could get there.

Upton work, decks first
Wood gets cleaned and brightened, vinyl gets detergent, concrete gets a surface cleaner.
