These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of applewoodexterior.com (the "Site") and the exterior cleaning services provided by Applewood Exterior Cleaning ("Applewood," "we," "us," or "our"). By using our Site or booking our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are
Applewood Exterior Cleaning is a residential and commercial exterior cleaning company based in Pomfret Center, Connecticut, serving Northeast Connecticut, Worcester County Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.

2. Services we provide
We offer residential and commercial exterior cleaning services, including soft washing, pressure washing, roof cleaning, window cleaning, gutter cleaning, deck and patio cleaning, concrete cleaning, paver sealing, and permanent and seasonal exterior lighting installation. Specific service availability and pricing depend on your location, the condition of the property, and the scope of work.
3. Quotes and pricing
How quotes work. We provide free, flat-rate quotes based on photos you send and information you provide. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated.
What changes the price. Final pricing may change from the initial quote if the work scope changes, if access is more difficult than indicated, if the property condition differs significantly from the photos provided, or if additional services are added at your request. We will discuss any pricing changes with you before performing additional work.
Payment terms. Payment is due upon completion of the service unless you have an established account or recurring contract with different terms. We accept credit cards, ACH bank transfers, and checks.
Late payments. Invoices unpaid after 30 days may be subject to a 1.5% monthly late fee.
4. Scheduling and cancellation
Scheduling. All services are scheduled by mutual agreement. We will confirm the date and time with you in advance.
Weather. We reserve the right to reschedule services due to weather conditions that affect work quality or safety. We will text you the day before to confirm or reschedule.
Customer cancellations. You may reschedule or cancel a booked service up to 24 hours in advance at no charge. Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled service may be subject to a $75 trip fee if our crew has already been dispatched.
No-shows. If our crew arrives at the scheduled time and cannot access the property or perform the work, a $125 trip fee may apply.
5. Our work and your responsibilities
What we do. We perform the services described in the quote using our equipment, materials, and crew. We carry $2,000,000 general liability insurance and workers' compensation insurance. Proof of insurance is available on request.
What you do. You agree to:
- Provide access to an outdoor water spigot
- Close windows and doors that do not seal well before we arrive
- Move outdoor furniture, grills, vehicles, and personal items away from work areas
- Inform us of delicate plants, satellite dishes, solar panels, or other items requiring special care
- Inform us of any pre-existing damage to siding, paint, or other surfaces before we begin
- Confirm that you are authorized to request work on the property
Things we are not responsible for: loose siding, lifted shingles, failed sealants, pre-existing rot, plant damage where landscape was not disclosed, or damage to items that were not moved or covered as requested.
6. SMS and text messaging terms
By providing your phone number to Applewood Exterior Cleaning, you consent to receive text messages from us related to your service.
Types of messages we send: Quote confirmations, appointment confirmations and reminders, service updates, replies to your questions, and occasional promotional offers (only if you separately opt in).
Message frequency: Message frequency varies. Most customers receive fewer than 10 messages per service.
Message and data rates may apply depending on your wireless plan.
To opt out at any time: Reply STOP to any message. You will receive a confirmation that you have been unsubscribed.

Privacy of SMS data. We do not share, sell, transfer, or otherwise disclose your phone number, SMS opt-in information, or consent data to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy for more details.
7. Insurance and damage claims
Our insurance. We carry $2,000,000 general liability and workers' compensation insurance. Certificate of insurance available on request, typically sent before the first job for commercial accounts.
Damage claims. If you believe Applewood Exterior Cleaning caused damage during the course of work, notify us within 7 days of the service date. We will investigate promptly and, where the damage was caused by our work and was not the result of pre-existing conditions, we will repair or replace the affected item at no cost to you, or refer the claim to our insurance.
Limitations. Applewood is not responsible for damage caused by pre-existing conditions, including but not limited to: loose or damaged siding, failed caulking or sealants, rotted wood, lifted or curling shingles, deteriorated paint, or undisclosed delicate plants and landscaping.
8. Guarantees
If you are not satisfied with the quality of our work, contact us within 30 days of the service date. We will return to the property to address any issues at no cost to you. This guarantee applies to the original scope of work and does not extend to surfaces that were not part of the quoted service.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Applewood Exterior Cleaning's total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, lost revenue, or property value loss.
This limitation does not apply to gross negligence or willful misconduct, and does not affect any rights you have under applicable law that cannot be limited or waived.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Applewood Exterior Cleaning harmless from any claims arising from your breach of these Terms, your use of the services in a way not permitted by these Terms, or your provision of false information when requesting service.
11. Use of our website
By using applewoodexterior.com, you agree not to:
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or its systems
- Use the site to transmit malicious code or content
- Scrape or copy our content for use on other sites without permission
- Misrepresent your identity when contacting us
We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate access to the site for any user who violates these terms.
12. Intellectual property
The Applewood Exterior Cleaning name, logo, content, and design on applewoodexterior.com are the property of Applewood Exterior Cleaning. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any of this content without our written permission.
13. Third-party links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites. Their terms and privacy policies apply when you visit them.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services or website after the change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or our services will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Windham County, Connecticut, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any concerns informally before pursuing legal action. Most issues are resolved with a phone call.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
