Pricing & Quotes
How pricing and quotes work. Most homes get a flat price by text in about an hour, with no on-site visit needed.
Pricing is based on linear footage, the fence material, and how much gray oxidation or green algae has built up. The cleanest way to get a number is to text us a few photos and the approximate length, and we'll send a flat quote, usually within an hour.
Yes, credit cards, ACH bank transfer, check. Payment due on completion unless we've arranged net terms for recurring commercial.
We prefer photos because we can see what you're describing. Phone quotes tend to under- or over-estimate. Texting photos takes 30 seconds and we'll come back with an actual number.
No. Text us 2–3 photos of your house at (860) 553-9326 and we'll send a flat quote within about an hour. No on-site visit required for most homes.
Single-story Cape or ranch usually starts at $389. Two-story colonial $475–$575. Larger homes $550+. Final price depends on access, current condition, and square footage. Send us photos for a flat quote.
Process & Method
Soft wash vs. pressure wash, and what actually happens on cleaning day.
Yes. The gray on wood is UV oxidation and mildew, and the green on vinyl and shaded sections is algae. Our soft wash lifts both and brings the original color back. Wood that's deeply weathered won't look brand new, but it will look dramatically cleaner and is the right first step before any staining.
Yes. We clean wood, vinyl, composite, and aluminum fencing. Each material gets a different approach: low pressure and the right detergent on wood so we don't fuzz the grain, and a detergent soft wash on vinyl and composite to lift algae without etching the surface.
Every 2 to 4 years for most asphalt shingle roofs in our shaded, humid New England climate. Heavy tree cover or north-facing sections may need it sooner.
Once a year for most Northeast Connecticut homes. North and east sides pick up algae faster from shade and humidity.
Not for most exterior work. We just need access to an outdoor water spigot. We'll text photos of completed work if you're not there.
3–4 hours for a typical single-family home. Larger or more complex homes 5–7 hours. Roof cleaning adds 1–2 hours. We typically arrive 8–9am and finish by mid-afternoon.
Yes, when done with the soft-wash method. ARMA (Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association) explicitly recommends soft washing for algae and moss removal. High-pressure roof cleaning damages shingles, we don't do it.
No, that's why we use it. High-pressure washing siding is what causes damage: gouged vinyl, lifted paint, water driven behind the cladding. Soft washing eliminates all of that by using chemistry at low pressure.
Soft washing uses low water pressure (about the same as your garden hose) and a biodegradable detergent, the chemistry does the cleaning. Pressure washing uses high water pressure with no detergent. Soft wash for siding, roofs, painted surfaces, and anything porous. Pressure wash for concrete driveways, brick pavers, and stone. We pick the right method per surface.
Safety & Insurance
Your home, plants, pets, and our coverage. The things that should give you peace of mind.
No. Our detergents are biodegradable and we wet down the plants and grass along the fence line before we start, then rinse again when we finish. Let us know about anything delicate near the fence when you book and we'll take extra care around it.
We're insured for accidents, but they're rare. If something happens, a window seal that wasn't visible, a delicate plant we didn't see, we'll fix it or replace it. Tell us as soon as you notice; we usually catch it ourselves first.
Connecticut doesn't license pressure-washing contractors specifically, but we're a registered LLC and carry the right insurance. Happy to send documentation.
Yes, fully insured with general liability and workers comp. COI available before any job. Just ask.
The opposite. Manufacturers expect maintenance. We document each job with photos and a method statement if you need it for warranty records.
Yes. Detergents are biodegradable and rinse out at low concentration. We wet down landscaping before applying anything and rinse again when we finish. We've never lost a plant. Tell us about anything specific you're worried about when you book.
Scheduling
When we can get you in, and what happens if the weather doesn't cooperate.
Soft wash works fine in light rain. Heavy rain or temperatures below 40°F, we reschedule, usually within a few days. We text you the night before to confirm.
Most jobs booked Monday hit the calendar by Friday. Peak season (June–August) we book 1–2 weeks out. Off-peak (April, May, September, October) we usually have same-week slots.
Property Prep
A few quick things to take care of before we arrive.
Close windows that don't seal well. Move outdoor furniture, grills, and rugs away from the house. Tell us about delicate plants, satellite dishes, or solar panels.
General
Recurring service, our guarantee, and everything else.
Before we leave, we walk the property with you. If anything's not right, we re-do it on the spot. After we leave: tell us within 30 days and we'll come back. No questions.
Yes, monthly, quarterly, or seasonal contracts for residential and commercial. Recurring plans get 15% off vs. single-service pricing.
