Willington gets road grit and river damp both
I-84 cuts Willington in two. Route 32 follows the valley floor along the Willimantic River, the Fenton comes down the western side, and the old thread mill village at South Willington still reads much the way it did a century ago. Storrs is minutes south, so a fair share of houses here are rentals.
Highway frontage leaves a film. Homes within earshot of I-84 or sitting along Route 32 pick up road grit and exhaust haze on the exposed elevation, and it works into vinyl texture where a rinse alone will not lift it. That is a detergent job at low pressure, not a pressure job. Away from the road it is the usual story, shade and river damp feeding algae on the north wall and dark streaks down the roof.
Mill era houses in South Willington sit close together on small lots. Ladders go up in tight spots, so we set them carefully and flush downspouts instead of just scooping them.
We are about twenty five minutes from Willington. Photos texted to (860) 553-9326 come back as a flat price, usually inside an hour. A single story ranch starts at $389, and a two story colonial runs $475 to $575.
Rental owners, we can work from photos and a lockbox code and send you the before and after. An owner is on site either way.
