Sterling is where Connecticut runs out
Sterling is the last Connecticut town before Rhode Island, and it stays rural the whole way across. Route 14 runs east to west, Route 49 crosses north to south, and the Moosup River works through the middle. Oneco and Sterling Hill are the villages. The rest is woods, field, and old road frontage.
Tree cover decides the work here. A house with oak and maple over the north side goes green before the owner notices, and the roof streaks black on the shaded slope first. That is algae, not dirt. It comes off with low pressure and a biodegradable detergent that is safe around plants, which is also what the asphalt shingle industry asks for on a shingle roof. Our pressure washer is for concrete and hardscape, nothing else.
Driveways run long out here, and many are gravel until the last stretch near the garage. We run a surface cleaner on the apron and the walks so the slab comes out even instead of striped.
Sterling is a short trip for us. Send two or three photos to (860) 553-9326 and a flat price comes back, usually inside the hour. Most houses never need us to drive out first.
We carry general liability and workers comp, and the certificate goes out before the job. If anything is not right, we are back within thirty days.
