Two kinds of housing, two ways to work
Brooklyn sits where Route 6 crosses Route 169, and the town spreads out from the green in every direction. Around the green the houses are old and close to the road. Along the routes you get newer subdivisions with vinyl siding and two-car garages. Beyond those it turns back into farmland and open field.
The two ends need different work. Older homes near the green have painted clapboard and shake that want a gentle soft wash and nothing more. Subdivision vinyl is more forgiving but shows green fast on the shaded side, and the concrete aprons and walks that come with newer builds pick up staining that only a surface cleaner will even out.
