Reservoir town

In Scituate, where the rinse water goes matters

The Scituate Reservoir covers a big part of this town and supplies drinking water to much of Rhode Island. North Scituate, Clayville, and Hope are the villages, Route 6 crosses the middle, and Route 116 and Route 12 handle the rest. Most of the land here drains toward that water one way or another.

That is worth thinking about before anybody sprays anything on a house. Every detergent we carry is biodegradable and plant safe, we mix only what a job actually needs, and the landscaping gets wet down first so nothing sits concentrated on soil or roots. Then it all gets rinsed again at the end. We work this way everywhere, but Scituate is the town where people ask about it, and they are right to.

The properties themselves are wooded and spread out. Long driveways, older farmhouses, ranches on country roads, and enough tree cover that roof algae and packed gutters are the two most common calls.

High pressure gets used on concrete and hardscape only. Siding and shingles never see it.

Scituate is about forty minutes from Pomfret. Send photos to (860) 553-9326 and a flat number comes back, usually within the hour. Insured for general liability and workers comp, with the certificate sent before we arrive.
