Farmington's old houses set the standard for the whole job

Farmington has one of the best preserved historic streets anywhere in Connecticut, a long run of 18th and 19th century houses along Route 4 near the river. Unionville is the mill village at the western end, the Farmington River curves through, and I-84 and Route 6 cross the southern part of town.

Houses like the ones on Main Street are the reason soft washing exists. Original clapboard, hand planed trim, old putty glazing, and paint that has been maintained for generations. A pressure washer would do damage in seconds. Our method is a plant safe detergent doing the cleaning at low pressure, with the rinse only carrying it away.

Windows are a common ask on houses like these. We do them at $8 a pane with a $200 minimum, and on a house full of divided lights that is a real job worth booking on its own.

Unionville and the newer neighborhoods are more ordinary work. Vinyl and painted siding, concrete drives, decks that have gone gray.

Farmington sits well west of our usual range, so we take it by request. Text photos to (860) 553-9326 for a flat quote and a realistic answer on when.
