East Greenwich runs downhill to the water
East Greenwich is built on a slope. Main Street sits up on the hill with its shops and old buildings, the ground drops toward Greenwich Cove and the marinas, and Frenchtown and the newer neighborhoods spread out west of Route 1. Route 2 and I-95 handle the through traffic.
Two different jobs live in one small town. Up on the hill it is commercial, storefront glass, awnings, entry concrete, and brick sidewalks that hold moss on the shaded side. Glass runs $8 a pane with a $200 minimum, and shop work usually happens early, before opening, with the insurance certificate sent ahead.
Down by the cove it is residential and salty. Air off the water keeps siding damp, so a shaded elevation greens quickly, and boat side decks and railings pick up growth every season. Siding and wood both get gentle treatment, detergent and low pressure on one, cleaning and brightening on the other.
Brick and old mortar on the hill will not take pressure, so those get chemistry and time instead.
Kent County sits at the edge of our range, so East Greenwich is by request. Text photos to (860) 553-9326 for a flat price and a straight answer about the drive.
