Painted clapboard that will not take pressure
Woodstock has some of the prettiest old homes in the Quiet Corner, from the farmhouses along Route 169 to the big antique colonials up on Woodstock Hill. A lot of them wear painted clapboard and wood trim that a pressure washer would tear right through, so we never use one on siding.
We soft wash, which is the gentle way to clear algae, mildew, and pollen off older paint without lifting it. Many Woodstock homes run on well water too, and we plan the rinse around that so we are not draining your system.
Gentle on old paint and landscaping
We start with a plant-safe detergent that breaks down the growth at the root, give it time to work, then rinse at low pressure so the paint and caulk stay where they belong. Gardens and foundation plantings get wet down before we start and rinsed again at the end. We have never lost a plant, and we would rather take the extra time than risk your beds.
