Gutter Cleaning in Pomfret, CT

This is our own town. The shop is here, we live here, and the hill roads between Pomfret Center and the Route 169 corridor are the ones we drive without thinking about it. We know which stretches sit under a solid canopy and which houses have a white pine leaning over the back roof, because we go past them every week.

Pine is the part people underestimate around here. Oak and maple leaves are obvious, and at least they sit loose for a while. Needles do not. They knit into a mat that water runs over instead of through, and they pack the elbow of a downspout so tightly that flushing from the top accomplishes nothing until somebody breaks it up by hand.

We clean the whole system by hand off a ladder, not with a blower and not from the ground. Debris goes into bags and leaves with us. Then every downspout gets flushed and the flow checked at the bottom, because a clear gutter feeding a blocked spout is still a wet foundation. Anything worth knowing about gets photographed and sent to you: a hanger pulling away from the fascia, a run that has lost its pitch and holds standing water in the middle, a seam that has started to weep.
